David Gilliver and I started light painting at the same time and pushed each other for many years. This image breakdown is a special one, the image we look at is one of my all time favourites.
The Singularity is my favourite light painting image of all time. A massive call, but an easy one. The wizard of light, Pala Teth created this image, he is a beautiful human and creates some of the most magical, clean and mind bending images on the planet! I am so proud to call this man a friend, and stoked he joined us at the School of Light.

As you will hear Trevor holds a very special place in my heart. Trevor started the Light Junkies group on Flickr in 2008, this was where modern light painting really exploded, a cauldron of experimentation, sharing and well before Facebook or instagram, community. Fellow Aussie Mick Unwin joins us with an amazing image form down in the drains, where he spend most of his light painting time. This is an image that bursts off the screen. I have been lucky enough to get underground with Mick, and cant wait to get back down there.
When I was considering who to invite for an image breakdown in this first series, Dennis Berka immediately came to mind, then when I went to his social media, then website to select an image, this was a no brainer! Dennis is not only a lovely, giving guy, but is a fantastic light painting artist!

A true light painting artist is someone that produces work that is unmistakably their own. There is no better example than Janne Parviainen, since 2008 he has been producing some of the most unique, distinguishable and mind bending images on the net. Troy has been such a huge influence on my own light painting, getting to sit down and breakdown one of my favourite images of his was buzz. Troy has been light painting since the 80's! And he is still going hard. Thank you so much Troy!

Jason Rinehart is one of the most inventive, creative, prolific and giving Light Painters on the planet. In this series of images, all of these things come together and Jason talks us through the idea and creation. You will get lost in this mans work, but go, its a fun place.
Although this is an image breakdown, it was more like a chinwag between a couple of trouble makers. This will probably be the only video I need to edit out filth. You will love it though. Phill has developed into such a delicate, focused light painter and his work will blow you away.
